  I wouldn’t expect junior high slang words to be anatomically accurate. That’s the first part of the answer. Most likely, because it’s bonelike.

  bon3r is just the slang term, like hard on, but erection is the correct term

  i guess it was called that because it feels like there is a bone in your penis when it is hard

  because a bone is a hard, erect object and for a penis to go from Flaccid state to an erection is like having the strength, tone of a bone.

  ok, the real reason is that most mammals do have bones in the penis, hence when people slaughtered cows/pigs/etc they would see the bones and assumed humans had them as well
