I was uploading ringtones into my father’s phone because he had asked me to. He then asked me to change the wallpaper to a picture of my brother which he had taken with his phone. So I opened up the folder containing his pictures, and as I scrolled down the thumbnails, I noticed three or four pictures that were all black except for a white circle in the middle. I clicked on one to expand it, and lo and behold, it was a penis. I immediately shut the phone threw it on the table and started to walk away. As I walked away, I said, “I feel like I’m going to vomit.” My father was oblivious to what I had seen, and later on I found out that he thought I felt like throwing up because I had eaten too much, and in fact, I had eaten a lot–right in front of him.
My father never abused me in any way, and he didn’t mean for me to see those pictures. He explained to my mother that he thought he had deleted the pictures, so he was surprised when he found out that I had seen them.
I haven’t spoken to my father since (it’s been a couple of weeks). I just felt disgusted and ashamed to see those. I don’t know how to react to this. My father takes pictures of his own penis. I don’t know what he does with them, but I don’t think it’s normal.
What should I do?

Don’t be mad at him. He is probably embarrassed about it and Im sure he is not using them to send to people or anything sick like that. Sometimes when people are bored, they do things like that? IDK but try to make things normal between yourselves

He probrably was just showing them to your mother.I used to find nudy pictures of my step-dad’s penis too along with my mom.My boyfriend also takes pictures of his penis with his phone.

I feel sorry for you lol.. But just forget about it, lads can get up to alot of stuff with a camera phone.. i dont think he would do anything with them.. unless hes on the internet doing stuff?.. check the internet sites hes on.. if not, he should be in the clean..

I think you are over-reacting.
He was probably messing around with his phone, and maybe having a joke with your mum.
It may come as a shock to you but….Your parents may sometimes have sex!!!!
I would imagine that most men have taken pictures of their privates at some time or other, even if to just see what it would look like!! It sounds like he didn’t intend for you to see them. If he had then that would be more disturbing…

Hi,
I don’t know how old you are and that would help to answer this more correctly.
Everyone has there little quirks and secrets, even you have I am sure.
Imagine how bad your Dad feels. I am convinced he did not intentionally want you to see the pix. Somehow, you and your Dad need to have a chat and let him explain what he was up to and then put it all behind you and get on with your life. Kids do strange things from and adults point of view and vice versa with adults. Its human nature.
You sound very respectable and a nice person so don’t let this ruin your relationship with your Dad. Love and forgive and forget.

I would suggest to him that he needs to go for sexual addiction.
THAT is what he is dealing with. And he needs to go ASAP before he not only ruins his life with his sexual obsession - but he will ruin his relationship with your mom.
Tough love and real honesty is sometimes what a person with addiction needs in iorder to do something about his life.
But check out the couselor first to see if they are equipped to do couseling in this field because not every counselor is trained in addictions.

first of all although i have never experienced anything like u have I would say its understandable that you were shocked and surprised at what u saw. He is your dad and no matter how old u are u should never be afraid to talk to him or anything. I think u should try to forget what u saw but obviously it is on your mind so since it is, id suggest that u talk to him about it and tell he you feel a little awkward and uncomfortable talking to him about it but it is on ur mind. TELL HIM HOW U FEEL ETC AND BE OPEN AND HONEST. he maybe as shocked and embarresed for you seeing them as you are for seeing them. good luck
