  there are no harmful effects, except if you really overdo it your genitals might get sore and the skin might get damaged. the advantages are

  a) you have your sexdrive taken care of and won't do silly things to compensate
  b) your testicles will constantly have to produce new sperm, so if/ when the big moment of actually wanting to make a baby comes, your sperm will be fresh and therefore more fertile

  I presume physical harmful effects. The official answer is none.

  If there were ANY truelly harmful effects you would probably already have found them by yourself - just like the rest of us.

  And your parents would have lectured you on the subject many times over.

  Try and do what the majority of us do. Lie back and enjoy - then deny to everyone that you enjoy practicing the art but are hopeful that you will never find the perfect way and therefore have no further need of research.
