Orgasms caused by muscles near tens of thousands of nerve endings contracting in waves. Since there are so many nerve endings there, it gives us that intense feeling as the muscles contract (think of how good it feels to stretch out your arm, back and leg muscles).

sexual climaxes. hitting the right spot or touching something in just the right way to cause a tingling inexplainable exciting feeling combined with the mental aspect of wanting to satisfy you and your partner. each sensation building on top of the other having tiny orgasms making the partner and you do more and more to create such sensations until building up so many to have and outburst.

Stimulation of the very sensitive nerves of the genitals, combined with the desire to be doing this (rape is a turn off, despite genital stimulation), allows all kinds of endorphins and dopamine and adrenaline to flood the brain. These chemicals bind to the pleasure receptors in the brain, and the result is a feeling of pleasure. Taken far enough, the entire nervous system has a spasm, the brain especially. Orgasm takes place in the brain, not in the genitals.
Orgasm serves several biological and social purposes. It reinforces the desire to do it again, so that pregnancy can result. It also binds people together (makes couples out of people)so that families can form. It also makes life bearable - can you imagine going through a life in which you never have an orgasm? It would be pretty dreary.
