iam 24 years old. past two months iam noticing a mild irritation in the lips of vagina.day-by-day it become severe and now its recurring daily. i have applied candid ointment and still find the irritation. sometimes lips of vagina becomes reddish and it pains a lot during periods. I feel shame to go to doctor.Girls please answer and any doctors, please tell me…. wat should i do?

It could be an irritation or infection…you shouldn’t be ashamed to go to the doctor…this can and does happen to most women. Go to a female doctor if you’re uncomfortable with a male

dont feel ashamed, GO TO THE DR. we cant tell u exactly what it is, because we’re not medical professionals. its totally normal for a woman to go to the dr for down there related things. and u should go every 2 yrs fr a pap smear.. just do it babe,. u dont have to feel ashamed. just make sure u book a female dr

Go to the doctor, its probably a simple problem that can be helped quickly. Ignoring it won’t make it go away. You shouldn’t be ashamed. Just go.

When the labia minora (smaller inner lips) protude beyond the labia majora(larger outer lips with hair) they can become irritated by rubbing against your underwear. Just try kinda tucking them in.

You shouldn’t be ashamed to go to the doctor… go to Planned Parenthood, trust me they see way worse and genitals is mostly all they deal with so they’ll know what it is and be able to treat it. it is also way cheaper and they have payment plans.

you shouldn’t feel ashamed about going to the doctors its nothing they haven’t seen before!they are there to help =P you should go! you never know if it can be something serous..

I know you feel like it’s embarrassing but you really need to go to the doctor to get looked at. The are professionals and they deal with these problems every single day!! Do you know how many vagina’s they see a day! This is just another day on the job for them. Look you tried some home remedies but they didn’t work, so now it’s time to go to the doctor, it might be something really simple that antibiotics can fix…but if you wait to long it could get soooo bad and complicated and you will be so mad at yourself that you didn’t go sooner!

It could be anything. An std, shaving rash, irritation from underwear etc.
I liked someone’s answer about the labia minora being too long that causes irritation, because yeah I can kind of understand that.

Could be a reaction to the materials in ur undies that if u change the tyoe latley or it could be the washing powder u use.
But it could be the soap as well.
Or a std.
So get it checked or THRUSH that can be with the symptoms that u r talking bout and even if u treat with Candid ointment it might not be treated proper.
