Honest question about the vagina?

November 19th, 2008 · 2 Comments

What does it feel like to have one? It has been asked before and received either vacuous responses or insulting ones (see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtG1Dk_RPgfOu74xodOEjc8jzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20080208095145AAb4BdX ). However, a similarly phrased question about what it’s like to have a penis asked by a girl received a lot of responses by guys that genuinely tried to describe it: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080324122518AA37Og6

I think it’s a natural curiosity to wonder what it’s like to be the opposite sex and I don’t see why it’s only OK for a girl to ask what it’s like to have a penis but not for a guy to ask what it’s like to have a vagina. While I’m sure it’s difficult to answer, there’s no reason not to try, right?

It’s more obvious with a penis since there’s nothing mysterious about it (it’s just ‘out there’ you know, nothing hidden about it at all). A vagina seems to be an endless series of mysteries that even girls ask other girls about (whereas you never see guys asking each other about their penises).

Just a little example of how I would describe it (having a penis vs a vagina): A penis really only gets in the way when the testicles are getting crushed. That sensation is similar to what you would feel if you closed your eye and pushed on it. And, like your eyes, you only feel them when they are being squeezed. See simple, right?

I don’t think my question should really be that impossible to at least try to answer. Just try to find some other part of your body that feels similar and compare it to that.
Well sure, like a penis I'm sure you don't feel it every waking moment. It's not like we're constantly feeling any part of our body for that matter or consciously aware of it.

I guess what I'm asking is when you DO feel something what is that like? My example was testicles which are utterly simple (basically it's either pain or nothing). Surely there's more to a vagina than just feeling nothingness (and pain during periods), right?

I once had a dream where I had a penis. Kind of freaked me out because I like my vagina.

Actually, it doesn’t really feel like anything except when you are using it. I mean, you don’t even know it is there unless you are having your period or having sex. You don’t feel the hole in your nose, ear or anus and you don’t feel the hole that is your vagina. For the most part, there are not lots of nerve ending inside the vagina, except for the G-spot, so it just doesn’t feel like anything more than that.

That is the best explanation I can give. Hope this helps.
