  I think most male fishes don’t have a penis, because they don’t reproduce the way land animals (amphibians, reptiles, birds & mammals) do. Usually the female fish deposits the eggs at the desired location, and the male fish fertilizes them externally by secreting milt (fish seminal fluid) on them. Since the male fish doesn’t need to get sperm inside the female, there’s no need for a penis.

  There is some variation in strategies of fish reproduction, so some fish may have an organ similar to the penis. Male sharks have paired organs called claspers, that function similarly to the penis. I’m including a link to the article in wikipedia. Look in the library and on the web for articles about “fish reproduction” or “fish sexual reproduction”, and you should find some good references for your report.

  Any male animal was a penis…kinda hard to get the female pregnant when you don’t have one.

  Though many breeds of fish have the ability to switch sexes…take the Guppies for instance…can change from a female to a male to impregnate itself.

  Not really they squrt sperm out of a hole. This is not a question that has anything to do with men’s health though. Yahoo must have thought it did because of the word “penis”.
