me raised as a catholic i’ve been told not to since its a “sin”
but why? lets recap
catholics consider it a sin since its greedy and lust. Greedy cause its self pleasure without a partner and lust cause its self pleasure.
but this concept thats being teached to teens in catholic school makes them afraid to masturbate and then deny it, this makes them later deny or not have a sexual health or if you have masturbated, religion makes you feel guilty about and this in no way its good. This is religion’s point of view. After all god himself said “Grow and Multiply”(or something like that)
Now psychology says that its in not bad. Proven scientifically it helps on having real sex, it doesn’t transmit deceases, its good and builds a good sexual health and its human nature.
Catholics are making teens afraid of masturbation later on making them guilty and this makes them in the future deny sex.
so is this what your trying to acomplish? if not then tell me why is it such a big “sin”

Don’t start. Nasty habit. Turn to God for strength at avoiding sexual temptations. If you have begun, then why are you masturbating? That should be your question every time you want to do it. If it’s because you are just too horny for your own good, fine. If it is because you are thinking of someone in particular, not good. Don’t do it out of lust. Do it out of good health.
