No, they are not harmful. Although in some women the spermicide can be irritating, they are extra sensitive to it. Maybe try non-lubricated condoms and add some KY jelly to them.

I don't have any backing for my opinoins, but I will not use Trojan spermicidal lubricated condoms, ever since the time I got a UTI (unrinary tract infection) after falling asleep after using it. I now use condoms that ae just lubricated (not spermicidal)
